Baccarat probabilities, drawing rules & methodology

How the baccarat third-card chart works

Aces count one, numbered cards count their value and tens or face cards count zero. Keep the last digit of the sum. A natural 8 or 9 ends both hands. Otherwise Player draws on 0–5 and stands on 6–7. If Player stands, Banker draws on 0–5. If Player draws, Banker 0–2 draws; 3 draws except against an 8; 4 draws against 2–7; 5 against 4–7; 6 against 6–7; 7 stands.

Exact conditional probabilities

This calculator enumerates every legal next-card value from a fresh six- or eight-deck shoe after removing the four shown cards. Draws are without replacement. Previous unseen discards, burn cards and side bets are excluded. Results are conditional on exposed starting hands, not the probabilities available before betting. Banker, Player and Tie describe hand results; commission and special push rules change wager returns separately.
